Domain Central ‘ perfect fit’

DOMAIN Central has a new tenant, with Workwear Discounts opening at the centre.

The workwear retailer’s second store will service North Queensland, selling men’s and women’s workwear, high- vis clothing, custom uniforms, steelcap boots and safety footwear and accessories.

Workwear Discounts proprietor Bernie Baz said that after searching for a premises for two years, the business had decided Domain Central was the perfect fit.

“We liked Domain Central because of the central location in the middle of Townsville and it had really good access and parking,” he said. “The premises suited the business although it did have an odd shape, but we were able to modify it.

“We always really liked the idea of open- ing in North Queensland and we’d been looking for two years before we finally found a site we liked. We’ve already had a soft launch. We’ve been quietly trading for two weeks and now we’ll be looking to employ locals for the new store.”

There will be a grand opening this Saturday, with The Block host Scott Cam and Supercar driver Luke Youlden there to join the celebrations.

Ray White Commercial agent Alex Nicolosi said Domain was a great fit for Workwear Discounts.

“Workwear Discounts signed up on a long- term lease and have joined a host of successful businesses which generate a lot of foot traffic,” he said.

“It is great to see businesses from out of town show confidence in the Townsville market, especially in the retail sector.”
