Joe delivers so nicely

BE POSITIVE and be nice to people. This is Joe Cosentino’s advice.

It is also this attitude which helps make Mr Cosentino a model employee.

Mr Cosentino, 72, is a delivery driver for Domino’s North Ward store.

Asked for his secret, Mr Cosentino said he didn’t really have one.

“I like to pretend I am still one of the young ones. I very, very rarely go to the doctor. I think anyone can keep themselves in condition if they just have a ( good) mental approach. Being positive helps anyone who wants to remain healthy,” he said.

Mr Cosentino health conscious” not exercise.

He also drinks beer – in moderation – and has salt on his meals.

“The research should not have salt,” he said.

“I’m not a big fan of chemicals and synthetics. My wife cooks great meals with vegetables from the backyard.”

Mr Cosentino said he was a fan of seeing young people grow and get to where they wanted to. is “fairly but does says one too much

“I would like young people to see there’s a bigger picture out there than just mobile phones,” he said.

“( I tell them to) be positive and believe you can do it.”

Mr Cosentino said a key part of life was that you had the opportunit­y to make friendship­s and to be nice to people.

“It’s a fairly old- fashioned saying but it goes a long way,” Mr Cosentino said.

Being nice is fine by his employer, Domino’s franchisee Nathan van Jole.

Mr Cosentino was a model employee, Mr van Jole said.

“Joe is one of our best delivery drivers and contribute­s so much to the team,” Mr van Jole said.

Mr Cosentino said he loved working at Domino’s.

“I have had a variety of jobs over the years from oper- ating a sporting goods store to working in hotels to insurance to driving shuttle buses but Domino’s has been the most fun,” he said.

“I like meeting people and mixing with people, especially young people. They are more innocent.”
