Feast of appy- ness

Foxtel offer has all the tools for a season of pure cricket

-

THE 2018 cricket season is well in progress with the first Domain Test set to air on December 6, when a new generation of Australian cricket stars don the Baggy Green to take on world No. 1 Test cricket team India.

Foxtel’s new dedicated cricket channel, Fox Cricket, will be there and broadcasting 24 hours a day with a feast of cricket for every Aussie fan, live, and with no ad breaks during play, from all over the country.

For Townsville Bulletin readers who want in on the action, we’ve partnered with Foxtel to bring a special offer that includes Foxtel’s sport, movies, drama and entertain- ment HD packs for only $ 68 a month ( details below).

In addition to watching Fox Cricket at home, there’s a new Fox Cricket App that has just been released for all cricket fans who want to make sure they don’t miss a single ball or over this summer.

The Fox Cricket App helps you keep up to date with latest news from each team, scores, as well as the best video, highlights and match vision for each game.

Cricket fans can download the Fox Cricket app for iPhone and Android Smartphone devices from the App Store and Google Play store and Foxtel customers with the sports pack can stream live games on the app.

This means if you’re out and about, the new app will allow Foxtel subscribers to stream Fox Cricket to watch anywhere, with the best commentary from Foxtel’s new team of cricket experts including Adam Gilchrist, Shane Warne, Isa Guha, Mike Hussey, Brett Lee, Allan Border and Brendon Julian.

Foxtel transformed cricket earlier this year when it secured the rights to Australia home internationals for the first time, ever.

Over the summer, the subscription TV service will broadcast every men’s Test, One Day International and T20 game, every Big Bash Match, as well as every women’s international in Australia, the ICC World Twenty20 and 23 WBBL games.

The Fox Cricket App also lets fans check out match highlights, player and team stats and much more.

Foxtel is also inviting would- be cricket experts to test their knowledge in a brand new trivia game called Streaker, the sport’s first- ever accumulative trivia game.

Those armchair critics out there can also play along with So You Think You Can Commentate, where fans can generate commentary videos for a chance to commentate at an actual Big Bash League match.

“The Fox Cricket App is a must for all cricket fans providing features that will allow them to get closer to the game than ever before, providing an unrivalled experience, wherever and whenever, at home or on the go,” head of Fox Sports Peter Campbell said.

“Furthermore our nation of couch- bound umpires can have their say on cricket decisions with a new feature called Your Call. This allows fans to cast their vote on decisions as they happen.”
