RACQ is expanding its presence in Townsville by opening a new branch at Willows Shopping Centre.

It will be located near Big W and is due to open on March 18.

RACQ spokeswoman Lucinda Ross said the latest Townsville branch would feature a new, innovative design.

“In Townsville we serve members from the city and surrounding districts. Willows is the ideal location due to its ease of access and convenient parking,” she said.

“This is the first regional store we will fit out to our new One RACQ format — that means our members have access to all our assistance, roadside, insurance and banking products and services under one roof.

“We’ll have extended op- erating hours and a larger and more contemporarily designed space to improve the experience and service we can provide to our members.”

RACQ offers insurance, roadside assistance, banking, home assistance and travel services.

Willows centre manager Andrew Stallan said it was great to see another business opening in Willows Shopping Centre.

“Willows is proud to welcome another service supporting the local community,” he said.

“RACQ will offer the region the latest new experience providing a range of services in one convenient location.”

RACQ’S new branch follows several new retailer openings in the centre during the past six months.

Bonds and shoe shop Platypus both chose to open their first Townsville stores at Willows Shopping Centre while locally owned cafe Milk Espresso also opened there recently.
