Resort expressions of interest

-

A RESORT in one of the most picturesque locations in North Queensland is being offered to the market via an expressions of interest campaign.

The Colonial Palms Motor Inn at 2 Hermitage Drive, Airlie Beach, has been listed for sale.

It is rated 3.5 stars and features 30 wellappointed guest rooms, a licensed restaurant and bar, and two lagoon-style swimming pools.

CBRE Hotels agent Shane Mullins is marketing the property and said the resort was owner operator but was being offered to the market as a vacant possession to allow an incoming owner to rebrand and re-position the resort.

“The resort is positioned on an elevated 3759sq m ocean view site and offers spectacular views over the Coral Sea coastline from all guest rooms and the restaurant,” he said. “The property also benefits from its quiet location, which is just 700 metres from downtown Airlie Beach.”

Mr Mullins said the Whitsunday region had a strong economy, well-planned infrastructure and desirable lifestyle location, making it attractive to investors.

“This has benefited the performance of the Colonial Palms Motor Inn, which is popular among the leisure, rep/corporate and coach tour market,” he said.

Expressions of interest close on March 14 at 3pm AEST.
