Aaron taxes credibility

-

ALP Member for Thuringowa Aaron Harper ( TB 10/7) states that minor parties cannot deliver. He asks “where is KAP money?”

Mr Harper, can you please stop harping on “Labor spent this amount of dollars, or that amount of dollars on this or that”. Because a simple fact check, (even on your beloved ABC) will reveal the money you speak of is taxpayer money, the people of Queensland’s money.

If it was not for private business, private enterprise and private jobs, you and yours would not be able to deliver any of your much harped about hospitals and schools.

Labor seems to run for these two very emotive policies (just remember the “Mediscare” campaign), because to all of us these are important.

Yet without taxes, taxpayers, businesses that pay tax, mining taxes etc no government, no matter what colour, can deliver even your salary let alone a school or hospital.

If you further check your facts, the minor party The Greens, certainly disrupt your vote and your delivery of major infrastructure.

They have stopped so much development in our North, that you must by now realise the people are sick and tired of the Labor/green coalition.

It is your party’s love affair with The Greens that is stopping any kind of water relief for our North and you know it.

Your reply letter is riddled with government money that you say you need the pat on the back for spending, well here is a news flash.

You are elected to spend taxpayer money the best way you can, you have a vote, you have the reports yet still you and your colleagues sit on your hands and deliver crumbs to us hillbillies up here, while your silver spooners down south get walkways and tunnels to help them get 10 minutes off their driving time.

These are facts, because you have to keep hugging The Greens (minor party), who handed you the last election.

I would not have expected you to give ground to any minor party, after all you want to maintain a semblance of power, of delivering.

Yet the pressure of party politics, keeping your job, keeping the love affair going plays on all party politicians.

You live here, and you know we need the mining the water, yet clearly if a minor party, other than The Greens held the balance of power we would see an onslaught of development and job creation here in the North that would render your Labor/lnp/greens speechless.

Minor parties do deliver, Mr Harper, when they hold the balance of power, that is a fact you can check also.

The major parties come begging for that support and your party is well aware of that power. So please stop harping on the same old things and just admit it, without your “other” minor party you could not harp on about anything.

DEBRA GIBSON,

Pinnacles.
