TB 10/07/2019, story re: groups working with juvenile offenders. They are well meaning and do some good work, although I treat the first time offender case story with scepticism. Kiddie crims don’t usually come to notice on the first offence unless it is

Just shows you how out of touch or Magistrates are not knowing what Muff refers to. TB 10.7.19. Slopper RE.

Silence is deafening..... where is our V8 contract for next 4 year’s? SG Jensen

Australia’s legal definition of terrorism does not depend on opinion highly charged with moral outrage, victim hood, or convictions based on ones belief their opinions are superior. Clearly gluing ones self to a surface or sitting on a busy road don’t meet the definition, but chaining a block of concrete to a rail line may. Also sabotage of machinery and more likely flying drones in front of aircraft. Extinction Rebellion, FLAC, etc may think these are just acts of peaceful civil disobedience. Tragically we may have to wait for a court case to find out. Shane. Airlie Beach

So just out of curiosity, what happens to the money raised for flood victims? I still haven’t gotten home, haven’t asked for a thing, yet no one has approached and asked if I need assistance. RP Rosslea.

If we want religious protection and civil rights laws that work, history has proven the US system does. Their constitution (as amended) is the best in the world too. We should franchise their whole system. Then we’d be able to vote useless judges and police chiefs out too. Tradie, Colorado

To Harper’s letter to editor 10/07/19. You want a shovel for that? Phantom 4817.

Aaron Harper, I just heard that you state that the SPER fine system is under control. How can that be when the Qld Government is owed approximately $1 billion in unpaid fines? I’ve also read where your government is looking at writing Steve Belgian Gardens CO2 is 400 parts per million. Ice ages have started with over 3,200 ppm CO2. The Little Ice Age ran from 1250 to late 1800’s. The warming that has occurred since is average after a little ice age event. The CO2 levels today are historically low, plants die below 150ppm. You should grab a book by Ian Plimer or Bob Carter. They do the history of CO2 well. Richard Aitkenvale

Aaron Harper, in response to your letter, I wouldn’t take credit for the Hervey Range road upgrade, all that achieved was smashing people’s windscreens for 12 months until it was done again and it hasn’t been finished through to Black River Road as originally planned because your government kept taking money out of the budget. Also if your party is responsible for raising the BFD by the paltry 2m Labor is proposing then you should be ashamed of yourself. DC 4817
