Euthanasia can be most humane death

-

IN RESPONSE to Timothy J Harris, I say he should acknowledge the fact that every human being should have control of their own destiny and not be influenced by any godly or religious organisation.

Most elderly people that become terminally ill I am sure would prefer to get it over and done with as they are generally too sick to be any good to themselves or life in general. This condition will also bring on depression.

I can assure Timothy from first-hand experience that this is without any doubt the most horrible debilitating disease of all time.

We all know thousands of people have taken their own lives sometimes in ghastly ways, so I am sure that a quick jab with a needle would be far quicker and clinical.

Doctors and nurses are some of the greatest people on Earth but if a patient is terminally ill, no one can save them. As a realist, I say euthanasia is the way to go as for people to live in pain and agony is not human.

Timothy stated that Victoria has paved the way not to culture of life but to a way of death, to that I say “rubbish”.

People have been dying for a long time – nothing to do with Victoria.

Timothy, at the end of his letter calls or God to help us. I ask Timothy when was the last time God helped us?

Last but not least, Timothy please ask any poor soul that is about to die would he or she like to get it over and done with? Plus one does not have to be ruled by a god to be a loving caring human being most of us non-believers do that naturally. M. WARREN, Townsville.
