Lawyers’ logical move

- YASMIN BONNELL

LOCAL firm Rennick Lawyers has put forward a strong case for the relocation of the family business.

In 2012, Phil and Michelle Rennick moved to Townsville and established the company at 1/306 Ross River Rd in Aitkenvale, where they have built up a loyal clientele.

Last month they decided to move down the road to 291 Ross River Rd to expand in size but remain in the location that has allowed their business to thrive for the past seven years.

“There were a few reasons why we decided to move locations,” Ms Rennick said.

“We had found ourselves in a position where we had outgrown our office and needed a larger space to cater to our clients’ needs as well as our own.

“The prospects of moving locations also brought with it the opportunity for Rennick Lawyers to begin a new chapter with a fresh look at a modern and spacious office.”

Ms Rennick said she hoped the company would be in the new location for the long haul.

“Our new office is nearly double the size of our previous one,” she said. “We now have two spacious conference rooms, a large office area for a legal team to operate comfortably and effectively from, and modern, welcoming reception.

“We hope we can call our new ofa fice the home to Rennick Lawyers for many years to come.”

Leasing executive at Colliers International Townsville, Ben Wheeler, said the new 180sq m site had plenty to offer the company, especially with its proximity to the old office.

“The former property where they (Rennick Lawyers) had been for years, is only down the road, making it convenient for their client base as well as staff members,” Mr Wheeler said.

“The property is also well suited for them because it has a great mix of separate partitioned offices and a large open-plan work space.

“On-site parking is great for clients and for them to remain in a high exposure position on Ross River Rd is also important.”
