I agree with TCC...NO service stations in the city area...especially next to restaurant­s. Joy of West End

I can’t think of anything less “amenable” and consistent with inner urban and near centre lifestyle than a servo, convenienc­e store and 2 fast food outlets next to what is the city’s best known, up-market, eatery and dining precinct. These businesses are more suited to the suburbs. Here’s hoping the Planning and Environmen­t Court see the light or we’ll go back to looking hick town again. Ags Hermit Pk

Jail time and heavy fines for activists who cross the line? We can’t get jail time for recidivist­s stealing vehicles so what is the chance of new laws. This State Government is protecting criminals as it is. Bring on the election so we can legislate new deterrents. M J Reynolds Mt Louisa

Went the casino on friday night, and that ‘barely used’ building next to the casino, with the ‘laughable carpark’ had something on. Parking was just nuts. Even that ‘strange circle’ was full of cars. Surely that building was checked to ‘provide sufficient parking’ when built ?? without annoying all the casino guests and filling their carpark ?? Michael Spalding in Douglas

There have been many events on the Strand, especially the Arts Festival, which I would love to have seen. Parking is such an issue for the elderly and people with disabiliti­es, I just don’t even think about going. Also there needs to be another block of toilets and change rooms. bjd Kelso.
