Congratulations Shari on your article in today’s Bully! I too was stu}ned when this bloke objected to the proposed expansion for the koala facility, stopping it. Our nature is being squeezed left, right & centre these days with no ability to fight back (except a goanna). Our animals & birds need to be looked after, not thrown on the scrap heap. Shari, Townsville needs you as the next deputy mayor (the power broker in council). Warren4814

Someone please break it to Dale Last that scientists did not claim the earth was flat, nor did they claim the sun went round the earth; that was the Church. It was scientists like Galileo and Copernicus (and Eratosthenes earlier on) who maintained the opposite, and were threatened for doing so. It’s a sad indictment that climate change scientists should still be facing the same challenges 5 centuries later. The Credible Hulk mt louisa

Science did not say the earth was flat as reported in the article on Peter Ridd. Science actually proved it was round. Mt Louisa Al.

Re, ‘mining manslaughter law’, if thats the case maybe the same charges should apply to pollies. Eg, the insulation farce. M. Thomas 4824

I had my groceries delivered last week. I don’t have a problem with substituting for out of stock items but---parmesan cheese substituted with CAT FOOD. I don’t even own a cat. True story. Maybe they should have gone to Spec Savers. D. Sherrington. Bluewater.

How many times do we have to pay for rubbish — rates. curbside pickup. charged at the dump as well. TD, Idalia.

Seriously TB? Running an amber light being an offence is a little known law? If drivers don’t know that, they shouldn’t be driving! Bucket Kwn

The only throat a sock should be shoved down is Alan Jones. What a waste of space he is. Wayne, 4814.

The only way, and everybody knows it, for the cowboys. Is to play twice as good, as a blue eyed ref’s opposing team. Joe Blake Seems the latest brain wave by the climate tragics society involves 12,000+ mega wind turbines, 90+ pumps (the biggest available, cost, 600M+ each) and snow cannons to spray 7,400 cubic kms of seawater onto West Antarctica to prevent alleged sea level rise flooding of coastal populations. This wisdom supercedes plans for a 300 metre high artificial island to stop ice sliding into the sea and constructing a 100 metre high wall to keep warm water out. Cost? Insurmountable. Engineering/consruction/ operation? Impossible. Environmental damage? immeasurable. Nobel Prize category? Science of stupid? Up side? At least no penguins will be killed by spinning wind turbine blades. Bazza Mt Low.

D. Bilton. You have no sense of humour. 4814’s milk crate text was so funny it made my day. James, Condon

When future generations demand to know why we didn’t act quicker on climate change, I hope they review the letters and texts here to see the unbelievable amount of antiscience knuckle-dragging conspiracy theorists who stymie any efforts of improvement.- Kylie, City
