How out of touch is Chief Superintendent Kev Guteridge with community expectations. By having a suburban beat that is unmanned and then saying in the same breath he says he can’t get officers to man it. The problem is not with officers on the ground, they are doing the best they can with what source’s are available to them. It’s the law that’s letting them down. If chief superintendent Kev Gutheridge is serious about more foot soldiers on the beat, closing down stations isn’t the answer as you would already know. I would rather wait in line with one item to be served rather than use self checkouts, these checkouts have provided very needed employment for millions of young students over the years and if you remove them you have nothing left.
