NOTICE OF PROPOSED GRANT OF AN EXPLORATIO­N PERMIT FOR MINERALS

The Queensland Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy, PO Box 15216, City East, Queensland, 4002, hereby gives notice in accordance with section 29 of the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) of the proposed grant of EPM 26931 shown below under the Mineral Resources Act 1989 (Qld).

Nature of Act(s): The grant of the Exploratio­n Permit under the Mineral Resources Act 1989 (Qld), authorises the holder to explore for minerals for a term not exceeding five (5) years with the possibilit­y of renewal for a term not exceeding five (5) years. It is proposed to grant the Exploratio­n Permit subject to the Mineral Resources Act 1989 (Qld) and the Native Title Protection Conditions.

Name and address of person doing acts: It is proposed that the Exploratio­n Permit be granted subject to the provisions of the Mineral Resources Act 1989 (Qld) by the Queensland Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy, PO Box 15216, City East, Queensland, 4002. Native Title Parties: Under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) any person who is a “native title party” is entitled to certain rights in relation to the proposed grant of the Exploratio­n Permit. Under section 30 of the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth), persons have until three (3) months after Notificati­on Day to take certain steps to become native title parties in relation to this notice. Each individual Exploratio­n Permit may be granted unless, within a period of four (4) months after the Notificati­on Day a native title party lodges an objection in respect of the individual Exploratio­n Permit with the National Native Title Tribunal against the inclusion of the statement that the State considers the grant of that Exploratio­n Permit is a future act attracting the Expedited Procedure.
