Stars strip in TV flesh fest

-

WHENEVER the words “celebrity” and “naked” pop up in the headlines, it’s rarely a positive story, but this time it’s different.

A gaggle of lovely ladies have agreed to get their kit off on television for The All New Monty: Ladies’ Night on Channel 7, airing Sunday September 29.

Host Georgie Parker has rallied an all-star cast to strut their stuff starkers to raise awareness for breast cancer.

Among them are jilted WAG Nadia Bartel, Killing Heidi frontwoman Ella Hooper, singer Casey Donovan, Home And Away stalwart Lynne Mcgranger and model Rachael Finch.

Despite being crowned Miss Universe Australia in 2009 and third runner up at the global leg of the comp, Finch, 31, admitted she is terrified and has been through her share of body insecurities.

“I think a lot of people would think I’d be quite comfortable and used to taking my top off and exposing my everything but I am petrified,” she said.

“Ladies’ Night is all about raising awareness about breast cancer. And with that comes raising awareness of women’s health.

“I used to be insecure about a lot of different areas of my body.

“I’ve gone through a lot of health struggles myself in the past where I was way too strict on my food and exercise.

“But I have learnt through my journey of self-development to even love the imperfections. I’ve got stretch marks, I’ve got bits of excess skin, but I’ve learned to love them because they’ve allowed me to have two children.”

Finch said her husband of six years, Michael Miziner, was key to building her self esteem and giving her the confidence to take opportunities like this.

“He’s been one of the biggest sources of inspiration,” she said.

“He’s taught me a lot about selfconfidence and believing in myself.”

Ladies’ Night follows the success of the male version The All New Monty, which was the highest rating new show of 2018 and a ratings winner again this year.
