With school going back next week, I’m eagerly awaiting reports of students from the climate strike leading delegations to their school principals to have classroom airconditioning switched off for the summer. RD North Ward.

I couldn’t agree more with you David Thoumine. I’ve asked several times if Mr Harper could provide the figures to prove his government’s juvenile justice system is working, but alas there is no response. The crimes keep happening but they keep saying that the system in place is working. Tell the victims that Mr Harper. Blu kirwan

Who needs Dollarmite accounts today when most children see their parents either waving a card to purchase goods or withdraw money from a hole in the wall being an ATM. Certainly gives the wrong impression! Sandyk 4818

What does one have to do to be jailed in this town? Obviously being caught with $5 mil worth of ice and $880,000 drug money is not enough. Being bailed is hardly a deterrent, just encourages others to take up a life of crime. Ags Hermit Pk

Ted, Bohle Plains, when I was in high-school this sort of thing was addressed, it was called Cit. Ed. Wonder if anything like that is taught now. B. Railway Estate.

M J Reynolds Mt Louisa — solar takes up too much space? What else were you going to do with your roof? And we have plenty of room for utility-scale solar to power our country and, when we aim for 200% renewables, export the surplus to land-poor Japan in the form of hydrogen, or Singapore through that cable they’re building from the NT. And if you think wind power is expensive, it’s cheaper than solar, and both are cheaper than your ridiculous nuclear suggestion. Steve, Belgian Gardens

The increase in Queensland public servants is worrying. I just received my registration fees and I wonder how much of that money contributes to the cost of the Qld bureaucracy. I wouldn’t mind if it was an increase in police, ambulance workers, teachers, fireys and nurses. I suspect as usual the increase has increased admin staff and highly paid executives. Does someone have the breakdown of qld public servants by job type and pay, if so can you please send to Tsv Bulletin. Kath Rasmussen

If betting on sport was taken away, there would no problem with referee decisions in sport. Ralph West End.

You wonder why our houses are being broken into cars are being stolen people getting mugged, all our police too busy attending to Adani protesters. Mick. e Annandale

?? ?? I hope the TCC planning section has properly assessed the onsite parking requirements for all the extra vehicles that will be associated with the new Strand development. It is already pretty hard to get a park in the area now.
