faced the three-person tribunal on Thursday night.

Queensland Rugby League Northern Division manager Scott Nosworthy was reluctant to comment on the outcome of the tribunal.

“There has been a penalty that has been given but they are in the process of appealing that decision,” he said.

“There is an appeal process, which is as per our rules you can appeal.

“While the appeal process is ongoing, we won’t be making any further comment.”

The woman is accused of palming a child in the “bottom of the chin” after one of the matches on junior rugby league grand final day.

Under Townsville District Junior Rugby League rules no IT WILL be a case of slip, slop, slap in Townsville this week with sunny and warm days expected throughout the region.

The city will today reach a top of 30C – slightly above the October average, with sunny conditions and light winds forecast.

It will be a similar case throughout the week, one at a match can assault or act with aggression to any person. Rules state clubs are responsible for the conduct of their players, parents/carers of players, coaches, officials and spectators.

Detectives are also investigating the incident and it’s understood they have spoken to the woman.

The Townsville District Junior Rugby League swiftly made the decision to ban the woman from attending any Queensland games pending the outcome of the tribunal.

Last month, the Townsville Bulletin reported the woman was a teacher.

The Education Department would not comment as it was being investigated by police.
