Everclear to spice up rock tour

THERE is a hotter than ever line-up for the Townsville leg of the Hotter Than Hell tour with ’90s rock royalty Everclear leading the charge.

Joined by Unwritten Law, The Grates, Frenzal Rhomb and Area 7, Everclear are set to rock the Kirwan Tavern on February 15.

Hitting four locations across Australia throughout February, festival organisers have locked in a spicy line-up at every location that’s sure to turn up the heat.

Memories of triple j Hottest 100 hits such as Santa Monica and Father of Mine are due to come burning back.

Previously laying low after a 14-year absence, Everclear last made an appearance Down Under celebratin­g their 20th anniversar­y tour in a string of successful shows and return for the first time in three years to pump out their singalong rock.

Adding more fuel to the fire will be multi-platinum punk outfit Unwritten Law.

The Southern California­n punk legends have endured with Australian fans for their high-energy live shows and distorted power riffs across favourite songs such as Celebratio­n Song to Seein’ Red and Save Me.

A strong Australian contingent will make sure punters have never had so much fun with Frenzal Rhomb bringing their onstage banter and guitar-wielding goods along with them.

Brisbane fun machine The Grates will warm things up.

Known for their effervesce­nt, colourful and infectious sets, they’re sure to raise the temp with party starters such as 19-20-20, Turn Me On

and Trampoline.

Punk-ska band Area 7 join the fun for the Kirwan Tavern show.
