A TOWNSVILLE business that developed journey management software for remote workers has hit the jackpot after partnering with global fleet management company Fleet Complete.

JESI will partner with the telematics provider in Australia before its services are rolled out around the world.

JESI CEO Joe Hoolahan said it was a defining moment for JESI, which still had the core of its development team in Townsville but was now based in Brisbane.

While JESI has an existing customer base of 22,000 users, mostly in Australia, Fleet Complete has 600,000 subscribers and services more than 40,000 businesses in Canada, the US, Mexico, Australia, and across Europe.

“JESI’S global rollout has been strengthened by collaboration with Fleet Complete,” Mr Hoolahan said.

“It’s been our vision to partner with an in-vehicle monitoring system provider since our inception.

“The coalescence of our smart technology with the distribution capability of an internationally renowned connected vehicle technology provider is transformational to the practice of personnel management.”

JESI was founded in Townsville in 2014 as an automated emergency alert system providing organisations with a journey management tool to manage risks associated with a mobile workforce.

It used existing telecommunication systems to automate alerts via SMS and email.

After raising seed funding in Townsville as well as gaining funding from the State Government’s Advance Queensland program, JESI raised $1 million last year, mostly from North Queensland investors, to fund its expansion.

Fleet Complete said JESI would build on its systems and provide a more sustainable remote worker management model at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic was prompting employers to review their systems.

Customers would be equipped with a mobile technology that provided realtime responses and rapid communication to mitigate accidents, injuries and delays.

“We at Fleet Complete are very excited to have an innovative partner like JESI,” Fleet Complete national sales director Michael Seychell said.

“We believe that this smart technology will provide our fleet-owning customers a circumspect way in which to manage remote employees, even in fluctuating working conditions.

“Safety remains paramount in today’s working environment, and these meaningful partnerships help our customers better navigate the changes to worksite safety measures, at present and in the future.”
