State killing economy

-

WHAT power jockeys Labor Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, Dr Jeannette Young and our local representatives are.

Don’t they know that the virus is not the only thing killing the economy?

Where is our Mayor Jenny Hill and where are the mayors of the other North Queensland towns? They should be standing together and demanding the premier open up the regional parts of Queensland.

Here is a thought – they say the premier has increased the number of public servants to 25,000. Many will be working from home, all on guaranteed wages from the public payroll; they will not feel the pain or lack of money to buy food or pay bills.

Many are working on the front line – they are the heroes of this pandemic – but they are still in a job and getting paid.

Many small business owners are going to the wall and have not got a benefactor like the State Government to support them and their families for months at a time.

If the State Government wants to stay closed when the Federal Government advises that they open up, then the state should foot the bill to compensate small businesses and the employees affected by the bloody-minded South East corner.

Most of the public servants work down south, in a Labor bubble and have to be catered to as there is an election soon.

But the regional areas are not so controllable, as was seen in the federal election, and do not believe all the garbage they are fed.

We are advised by the Australian federal chief health officer that it is safe to go back to work and open up the states.

But the Labor states think they know better.

These states should come up with money from their state budget and stop playing a political game of let’s show the people how easy it is to bring the country to a halt.

Premier, we know your views on North Queensland by your actions on the Adani mine, the loss of 1000 jobs at QNI and the continual hold-up of 2000 jobs at Queensland Nickel – now it’s destruction of our economy.

As an at-risk person, I willingly take responsibility for my health, my freedom and the protection of the ones I love, and I will not have the premier take that right away from me.

Premier Palaszczuk, who are you and what do you represent?

It’s certainly not the people of regional Queensland.
