Shame on our leaders

-

RE the headline on the front page of the Townsville Bulletin (8/6), “How could we let this happen”.

At the time most of us did not believe for one moment that this could be printed.

We, including the Bully, have been saying for years that this car stealing has to stop.

We have written hundreds of letters, we have sent hundreds of text messages.

The politicians have said a thousand times that we must do something but, of course, they don’t actually do anything positive or constructive.

This includes all politicians – all talk, no go.

We continually say that the frontline police do a great job, but the top brass only talk and again, no go.

We all know that the Premier and her comrades have absolutely no idea, concern or willpower to fix the crime problem once and for all.

Let’s be honest, if any other party were in power and the same situation had been going on for several years they also would cop heaps, especially from the Labor Party.

We the public have suffered for many years from this crime pandemic and have had a gutful, but we do very little protesting, do not riot, or create any violence, I wonder why?

Once again, we must conclude by saying, shame on you, Annastacia, plus every person in authority for your neglect and complete disregard for the safety and wellbeing of the Townsville citizens.

The shame includes our mayor who should be screaming her lungs out at this Labor government.

MICK WARREN, Townsville.
