Working hard key for all

-

TIME to speak up – our grandfathers, great-grandfathers and great-great grandfathers fought and died in two world wars to give us the freedom we blindly throw away today.

Why are we ignorant? Because we have been ill educated and reprogrammed with a socialist fanaticism belief involving critical zeal, particularly for extreme political causes, often insisting upon very strict standards with little or no tolerance for contrary ideas or opinions.

Due to our lack of education and knowledge of history, as the saying goes, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” (George Santayana, 1905).

In a 1948 speech to the House of Commons, Winston Churchill changed the quote slightly when he said, “Those who fail to learn from history are condemned to repeat it”. So true.

Perhaps the over-privileged young people demonstrating on behalf of Black Lives Matter should centre their attention on the protection of their fellow Australians.

They should direct some of their zeal into acquainting themselves with the true historical facts, not socialist propaganda.

As a privileged white female, I would like to explain to the newbies on the block the history of Australia.

Let me tell you the story of a hardworking female, who strangely gets luckier the harder she works.

This privileged white female would like to convey the same work ethic that her parents installed into their children and she hopes she has related this to her children.

Could she ask the people demonstrating and yelling about unfairness, just what is unfair in asking everyone to abide by the law, work for a living, not expect everyone to support your habit and your way of life?

Make your choices and own the consequences, no one owns you, you are free to speak your mind and so is everyone else, do not demand that your fellow Australians believe in the same Utopia that you believe, no one has a free ride down the path that life takes us, so don’t expect one.

Let’s describe white privilege.

Did you have to sleep in a hole in the ground out west when you were young as there were no motels or money for a place to stay and it was so cold your father dug a hole to keep you warm?

Did your father work in the western heat, when the employees refused to work and like many other westerners this is just a necessity as someone has to do it?

Did your mother cook for 10 men on a wood stove like many women have to on properties to keep workers?

Did your family all work to sustain the business your father started by loading trucks at night?

Did your family work all week to late at night and weekends as this is what small business owners have to do to keep afloat?

Did your father drop dead at the age of 49 with his body worn out?

Did you benefit by the sacrifice your parents made to make your life better?

Did you benefit from the education your country provided you?

Did your husband work three jobs to keep four children and build a house while living in a caravan?

Did your husband work seven days a week just to make ends meet?

Did your family fix everything as it cost money?

Whingeing is not the Australian way.

These are just a few survival issues of a white privileged person like her and many other Australians, but life is for living and when a curve ball is thrown you deal with it and move on with life.

I have come to the conclusion that the easiest way to destroy a country is not by war but by turning its young people against the old and telling the younger generation that they are deserving of everything without sacrifice or working and calling the very living that they hate white privilege.

Take advice from a white privileged female and stand together, work hard think of what you can achieve on your own and don’t let people influence your life, or fear take the joy out of your life.

Don’t let them make you a victim
