Magnetic welcomes premiere club

THE latest in bespoke tourism ventures for Townsville has officially launched with The Beach Club Magnetic Island’s unique experience set to indulge guests.

Led by owner/operators Clare and Paul Ley from Pilgrim Sailing, and working with executive chef Dan Blakeman of Saltwater Magnetic Island, The Beach Club is the ultimate combinatio­n of beach relaxation and topquality local produce.

Ms Ley said the new offering was about treating guests to a unique view of the region’s premiere island location, while celebratin­g local cuisine.

“Magnetic Island is a world-class destinatio­n in its own right, and our hope is that this new experience will offer yet another special way to explore the island, especially with your nearest and dearest,” Ms Ley said.

“Having been through our recent period of isolation, The Beach Club repurposes the idea of isolation, giving visitors a chance to enjoy the peace and quiet of their own beach and taste the sumptuous local produce that we are so lucky to have access to in North Queensland.

“It has always been a dream of ours to grow our business and continue to showcase the island we now call home.”

With chauffeure­d boat transfers to one of Magnetic Island’s 23 secluded beaches and bays and a gourmet picnic hamper, The Beach Club is a welcome addition to the island’s lengthy list of experience­s.
