Do it my way and a win is just around the corner

A MESSAGE to all Cowboys players.

The old saying is, attack is the best form of defence. So if you go forward like you did a couple of weeks ago against the Knights, then defence will be the least of your problems.

But when in the attacking position, every one of you MUST pay more attention to passing the ball before you are tackled. Plus, off-loading the ball at every opportunity as only once or twice is no good.

You have to increase this to 10 or more times in a game. Off loading is very rare with the Cowboys but if applied more often it will be of great advantage to you, as it will confuse the opposition in many ways.

There is nothing to lose just do it. Also, get that ball out to your fast men on the wing more often and quickly give them the chance to use their speed and skill.

Don’t continually bash up the middle and be brought to ground by three or four opponents as it brings the attack to a halt, but if you do charge straight at them then if possible remain standing so that the off load can be applied. It’s that easy so just try it.

If it does not come off don’t worry just try again, and keep trying.

Never ever say die. Concentration at all times is the key word. Keep saying in your mind, (concentrate, concentrate, concentrate,) at all times. Also, and most important, don’t play the same old stale type of football. Vary your game more often like switching the play instead of continually going the same way.

Be positive and you will beat the Roosters by 1 or 7, but only if you all listen to me.
