To all those complaining about the upgrade of the Rowes Bay Retirement home, you or a loved one may have call for being in one of these facilities one day. Wouldn’t you like them to live in comfort? That home has been there since the late 1990’s. You’d have something to complain about if a juvenile delinquent “care” home was in your area like other suburbs in Tsv. A government-funded anti-tobacco advertisement claims smokers are more likely to catch COVID-19. What complete rubbish. Smoking kills off the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) receptors in the lungs that COVID-19 attacks, making smokers less likely to catch C19 than nonsmokers. As much as I admire Johnathan Thurston, I don’t find his, and others, objections about the aged care facility in his neighbourhood, convincing. I assume the facility existed before the complainants moved there, and don’t accept that “young children use the footpaths and occasionally, the roads” is a valid reason to stop the development. Old people deserve the right to live well, and, I didn’t know children were permitted to play on roads. AGS HERMIT PK
