On mission for dad

-

It was the question on every Cowboysy fans’ lips p after watching their valiant skippper fall off would-be tackles es against the Titans.

Morgan has endured a horror or run of injuries over the past four ur seasons that include a torn pecctoral, a busted groin and a conncussion blow last season.

But it is his shoulder that has as hampered the Cowboys playymaker this season after he underwent d t surgery i in the COVID break that then required a further clean-out because of an infection caused by the first bout of surgery. g y

The return of Morgan (left) co could not have come at a better tim time for the Cowboys, but he ap appeared supremely underdone.

The skipper is understood to ha have complained about a lack of po power in his shoulder joint after th the game in which he finished wi with seven missed tackles.

The last time Latrell Mitchell was in Townsville, he was sitting down to dinner with Paul Green, Peter Parr and former Cowboys powerbroker Laurence Lancini.

It was part of the ongoing Mitchell contract circus after he had sensationally walked out on premiers Sydney Roosters.

Mitchell told media he was merely in Townsville for “a holiday”, and there are fears this visit to the tropics could turn out quite similar.

The Rabbitohs fullback has really hit his straps following the COVID break and has caused headaches for opposition defences. With a defence as feeble as the Cowboys has been, he is in for a field day at QCB Stadium.
