After many years of mentoring, leadership, teaching and speaking as a military member it took a war zone for Kylie to realise that she would not conform to a black and white world. She found the courage to be her true self, feminine and nurturing in Afghanistan and was awarded the accolade of a Silver Commendation.

This was the turning point of Kylie’s life as a catalyst to share stories to help create courage and change for all women.

Kylie says she is delighted to be named as a finalist and is proud of her achievements, particularly “to be in a good headspace after feeling broken.”

“I’ve worked on me for a long time and in the past 12 months I have made so much progress on my mental health and wellbeing,” she says. “I was able to confidently let go of my psychologist and harness a repertoire of tools and a support circle of friends and mentors to guide my way.”

She is a wellbeing educator, speaker, writer and unshakeable optimist who puts wellness at the heart of her highly successful business, Kids in Harmony.

She believes if we want a better world and a better economy we need to start with how we treat and view children and how we care for the people who raise and educate them.

“Mothers in business know the work and what it takes to keep going day in and day out as we choose to raise our children to become their authentic selves alongside following our business dreams,” Kerry, mother to Isaac, says.

“I’m proud of what started with an idea when my son was born has evolved into a 17year-old highly sustainable and successful business while mothering our teenage son as he enters his senior year at school. Being an Ausmumpreneur has made me a better business woman and being in business has made me a better mum. I’m a better human all round.”
