New service to aid pensioners navigate Centrelink’s forms

-

WITH a background in finance and a passion for people, Lee Develyn found herself drawn to helping others.

Ms Develyn said that she was working for another Townsville business when she saw a need to help those navigating Centrelink to access the aged pension.

She said she went along to a Centrelink seminar and saw people struggling to make sense of the advice on offer and realised it was a service she could offer. And so PensionLink was born.

“We will eventually see the service of claiming government age pension and updating records with Centrelink to be a fully online service and that is where I can help retirees,” Ms Develyn said.

“Pensionlink offers expertise in getting the claim completed and lodged, providing all the correct documents that Centrelink requires when assessing a claim and making sure that the maximum age pension entitlement is received. A most important key role, special to me, is keeping each individual client up to date on the progress of their claims.” Ms Develyn said she offered one-on-one, confidential a service with clients informed at every step of the process.

“Whether clients need help with what to do, or their reporting obligations with workforce participation, a consultation or even help with forms, I am here to listen to the needs of each client, as each client’s situation is unique,” Ms Develyn said.

“I am in my element when I see clients’ needs being met, I enjoy the relationships that are built and the trust established.”
