Grocery shopping made convenient
COLES has expanded its online service with the launch of Click&collect at its Ingham store, creating 10 new jobs in the local community to cater to the increased demand for a seamless online shopping experience.
Hinchinbrook and Cardwell residents can now shop for their groceries online and have them delivered straight to their car boot at one of two designated
Click&collect car parks outside the Coles supermarket.
A recent market insights report revealed revenue in the online grocery industry is forecast to increase by 56 per cent in 2019-20, as the COVID-19 pandemic has permanently increased the uptake of online grocery shopping platforms.
Coles Online Queensland state manager Greg Wells said the convenient online experience “is sure to be
popular with time-poor customers who lead busy lives or work full time”.
“A lot of our local shoppers work long hours, so they’re really keen to have the option to shop from their computers or smartphones and pick up their groceries on their lunch break or in the evening on the way home,” he said.
“Having served the community for more than 35 years, our Ingham team pride themselves on great service and an easy and convenient
shopping experience — so we’re excited to cater to the demand for online services and provide an enhanced shopping experience that takes some of the stress out of customers’ weekly shop.”
When ordering groceries online for Click&collect, Ingham shoppers can select from six collection times between 8am and 8pm on weekdays, from five collection times between 8am and 6pm on Saturdays, and from four collection times
between 10am and 6pm on Sundays, with personal shoppers hand packing their order ready for collection.
“Through Click&collect, Home Delivery and conveniently located smart lockers, more than 95 per cent of Australians can now shop with Coles Online — including Queenslanders in Coles’ remote and regional stores across the state including Mount Isa, Cairns and Bundaberg,” Mr Wells said.
