GOLF Charters Towers Golf Club

TRACY Morris won the ladies’ competition at the Charters

Towers Golf Club last Wednesday with 17 points.

She also collected the nearest the pins on 3 and 12, while runner up was Lee Ainsworth also with 17 points.

Friday’s Vets winner in the men’s was Barry Everett 20 points and runner up Brian Edwards 19 points.

Ladies’ Vets winner was Lee Ainsworth 18 points and runner up Tracy Morris with 15.

Pins on 6 and 15 went to Gordon King (men’s) and Tracy Morris (ladies’).

Peter Clark was Saturday’s winner with 40 points, while runner up was Darren West on 36 points. Rundown was Peter Johnson with 35, nearest pins 3 and 12 went to Darren West and Alex Li was nearest on 6 and 15.

Sunday’s play saw Peter Clark claim victory with 67 nett in the men’s competition.

Runner up was Beau Lavery with 71 nett, run down Rob Titley with 73 nett.

Ladies’ winner was Ros Schmid 77 nett, runner up Lee Ainsworth 80 nett and rundown Tracy Morris 81 nett.

Men’s nearest pins 3 and 12 went to Ken Cowan, 6 and 15 to Corey Barr. Ladies’ pins 6 and 15 Ros Schmid. Putts was won by Darren West with 26 from Beau Lavery 26, for the men’s. The ladies’ putts was won by Lee Ainsworth 30. Last week’s five-day comp winner was Anthony Hourston with a nett 11. Prize pool was $48.
