Police search busts three drug offenders
A TRIO busted with drugs and utensils during a police search have fronted court.
Tyson George Ross Brooker, Brodie Robert Dawes and Patrick Arthur Warner were detained following the execution of a search warrant at an Ayr property on September 29.
The trio faced Ayr Magistrates Court on multiple counts of drug possession and possession of utensils and pipes used.
Police prosecutor Cody Rowe said Warner was found with 0.5g of marijuana, a bong and a clip seal bag containing 0.1g of methamphetamine.
Warner pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing dangerous drugs, and one count of possessing pipes or utensils that had been used.
Dawes and Brooker, who appeared alongside each other, were heard to have been in the same room during the search.
Dawes had possession of scales located in the loungeroom and a bong that had been used to smoke marijuana, while co-accused Brooker was found with a glass pipe in his bag he admitted had been used to smoke methamphetamine the previous day.
Dawes pleaded guilty to one count of possessing property suspected of having been used in connections with the commission of a drug offence and possessing utensils or pipes that had been used.
Brooker pleaded guilty to possessing pipes or utensils used.
The trio represented themselves when they were each fined.
Warner was fined $1000 for all offences, convictions were recorded, Dawes was fined
$400 with no convictions recorded and Brooker was fined
