Townsville Bulletin

MARTIN BREWSTER

-

First of all, thank you to all those pre-poll voters who have offered their best wishes to me for a speedy recovery from my accident. I had my ankle operated on last Friday and am on the mend.

Clive Palmer’s United Australia Party (CPUAP) stand for jobs and prosperity for Townsville in my electorate of Mundingburra.

Our policies of abolishing payroll tax, stamp duty and land tax are about economic growth.

A vote for CPUAP means a vote for real, permanent jobs in the real world, not smoke and mirror jobs of transferring 4000 to 6000 public servants from Brisbane to bolster Labor Party voting in our region, that’s all a mirage!

We will support the reopening of Townsville’s own nickel refinery with 5000 direct and indirect jobs ready to go now and put Queensland businesses ahead of foreign-owned companies for real progress in our region.

The incumbent Labor government refused to support the ongoing operation of Queensland Nickel without needing to provide any funding, yet is now happy to provide tens of millions of dollars to a rich foreign owned company in Mount Isa. Absolute shame on you Labor!

And what about any future death tax, the Premier stated categorically they will not introduce a death or any new taxes.

How will Labor raise the money just to pay back interest on the $120 billion deficit (at 2% it’s $2,4 billion annually), let alone the principal, they need to increase existing taxes. Vote 1 Martin Brewster for real change.
