AARON HARPER LABOR

-

The Palaszczuk Labor r government is the only party that has a clear vision for Townsville and Thuringowa. Since I’ve been the e Member for Thuringowa, our government has invested $156 million into the area, including completing Riverway Drive Stage One, a new police station in the Upper Ross, the Kirwan Ambulance Station and school upgrades. A Palaszczuk Labor government has committed to $108 million for projects in Thuringowa like Riverway Drive Stage Two, Kirwan Health Campus, Driveit NQ and a hall for Thuringowa State High School.

I will continue to advocate for more investments into my electorate.

Under the Palaszczuk Labor government there will be 150 extra police officers in the Northern region. The LNP’S plan amounts to a cut of 90.

This government will continue to invest in community safety measures like a $30 million upgrade to Kirwan

Police Station which the LNP won’t commit to. The choice for people is clear, stable leadership of Annastacia Palaszczuk or the rabble of Deb Frecklington and minor parties. It was this government’s strong health response that kept Queenslanders safe while Deb Frecklington demanded the borders be reopened 64 times. The LNP will cut, sack and sell to pay for their billions of dollars in unfunded commitments. As a former paramedic I know the impact this will have on our health system. The reason Queensland can focus on economic recovery is because of our health response. A Palaszczuk Labor government has a clear economic recovery plan which will help Townsville grow into the future.
