Competitors right on monthly target
THE October monthly shoot for the Burdekin Clay Target Club was held as a day-and-ahalf event starting with a 25 pair Double Rise Graded Sweeps event.
AA Grade money went to Wayne Cislowski with 48/50 followed by Benji Micallef on 47/50. In A Grade Andrew Bergin was the best with 45/50 and Phil Russell took out second on 41/50.
Steve Dellebaite shot 41/50 for the B Grade win from Michelle Russell on 40/50.
In C Grade, Dale Collinson was the winner with 33/50 with Pedro Leblowitz taking second with 31/50.
Event Two was a 25 target Pointscore Graded Cash Trophy event.
Wayne Cislowski started his weekend off well taking the AA Grade prize money with 74/75.
Phil Russell was the best of the A Graders with 73/75 and Steve Dellebaite showed the B Graders the way taking first with 70/75.
John Calligaro was the C Grade winner with 58/75.
An old style event in a Walk Up was the last event Saturday afternoon.
The AA Grade winner was Benji Micallef with 8/10.
Alan Lord and Peter Delle Baite both shot 6/10 to share A Grade.
Michelle Russell had the best score in the event which gave her the B Grade first place cash with 9/10.
Pedro Leblowitz’s score of 7/10 gave him second place. Dale Collinson shot 6/10 to take the C Grade cash.
On Saturday night more competitors arrived for the championship events.
First off was the 25 target Burdekin Dal Ponte Electrical and Airconditioning Night Double Barrel Championship. Overall and AA Grade went to Alex Scalia with a score of 63/63 after a 38 target shoot off.
George Mclees was the A Grade winner with 44/45.
B Grade went to the inform Michelle Russell on 22/25 and Dale Collinson was the best of the C Graders on 19/25.
The final event for Saturday night was the 25 target Burdekin Home Hill Engineering Single Barrel Championship.
The Overall and AA Grade winner was Wayne Cislowski with 52/54 after having to shoot 29/29 in the shoot off. George Mclees made a clean sweep of the A Grade Championships taking out first with a final score of 24/27.
Pedro Leblowitz shot well to take out B Grade with 22/30 and Dale Collinson took out C Grade with 18/25.
On Sunday there were many more events and winners.
The club will hold its November shoot this Sunday.
The competition starts at 9am with great prizes up for grabs.
