Variety of driving offences land people in trouble with the law
SEVERAL people will front the Ayr Magistrates Court in coming months for a variety of offences in the past month.
• At 11.35am on Friday, April 23, Ayr police intercepted a vehicle in Queen Street, Ayr. The driver, a 42-year-old Townsville man, was issued a notice to appear for unlicensed driving and will front Ayr Magistrates Court on May 31.
• At 2.50pm on Tuesday April 27, police from the Ayr Road Policing Unit intercepted a vehicle on Munro Street, Ayr. The driver, a 33-year-old Burdekin woman, was issued a notice to appear for unlicensed driving and was due in Ayr Magistrates Court on May 31.
• At 1.35pm on Wednesday, April 28, police from the Ayr Road Policing Unit intercepted a vehicle on Ross Street, Ayr. The driver, a 49-year-old
Burdekin woman, was issued a notice to appear for driving with a prescribed drug in her saliva and was due to appear in Ayr Magistrates Court on July 12.
• At 13.35am on Wednesday April 28, police from the Ayr Road Policing Unit intercepted a vehicle in Chippendale Street, Ayr. The driver, a 32year-old Burdekin man, was issued a notice to appear for unlicensed driving and will front Ayr Magistrates Court on May 31.
• At 12.50am on Sunday, May 2, police from the Ayr Road Policing Unit intercepted a vehicle on Chippendale Street, Ayr. The driver, a 24year-old Burdekin woman, was issued a notice to appear for disqualified driving and was due in Ayr Magistrates Court on May 31.
• On Wednesday, May 5, Ayr police located a 42-yearold Burdekin man who was seen driving a vehicle on Soper Street, Ayr the morning before, and issued him with a notice to appear for disqualified driving. He is due at Ayr Magistrates Court on May 31.
• At 3.25pm on Wednesday, May 5, Ayr police intercepted a vehicle on Nuttall Road, Jarvisfield. The driver, a 43-yearold Burdekin man was issued a notice to appear in Ayr Magistrates Court on August 9 in relation to one count of driving with a relevant drug present in his saliva.
