GPS tracker on teen crims is a joke. Thanks for nothing. At least Phil Thompson is trying to stop the age change upwards. They need to fine the parents. MICHAEL SPALDING IN DOUGLAS
Just what do the vaccine hesitant members of the community hope to achieve by holding back? You have your choice of vaccine provider, do they want to try it on with Covid first? MG, NW
The Qld Premier who constantly bags the NSW Premier couldn’t run a park barbecue after the debacle with the walk in super Pfizer vaccination weekend in Brisbane. People sent away, people pushing in front of others in the queue, fights and people receiving parking fines after forgetting to tell them parking was only free after they validated their tickets. Is there any wonder Qld is running a distant last in the vaccination race. RON, KELSO
Stayed in a hotel in Anne St Brisbane some years ago, the sounds of sirens in the night was almost non stop. If you went a day now in Kelso, Townsville without the constant wailing of sirens, you would think something was wrong. Thanks, Annastacia, Aaron and team. REB, KELSO
Have seen footage of the recent protests in Melbourne. It was sickening to watch. What disgusting behaviour from these people. I felt so sorry for the police having to deal with these violent unmasked individuals. JM, KELSO
Re VAD. Those who survive suicide, often admit to changing their mind seconds into their attempt. How many died regretting their choice? There’s no surviving VAD. Just like when they put down your beloved pet. You can’t reverse the process. If you don’t know what’s down the plug hole, don’t pull the plug. Suicide is never the answer. Legal or otherwise. of a letter. Maybe when you see a vegan product you should take your own advice and move along. I can tell you from a vegan point of view, we don’t care what you think. JOHN, IDALIA
Couldn’t agree more with Phil Thompson re not raising the age of criminal responsibility to 14. That would make a 13year-old rapist or murderer invincible. Madness but typical of Labor brainlessness. Also I would like to see the adult age dropped to 17 like it was before when we were smarter. If a 17-year-old is old enough to drive a car, they are old enough to use soap on a rope in the big house. PETE AT DOUGLAS
Caitlin Charles’s article on Phil Thompson reinforces what most already knew, that the electorate of Herbert (Townsville) is fortunate to have good representation in Canberra and he will be very hard to roll. Proof of this is Labor’s failure (publicly anyway) to attract a high profile candidate like Jenny Hill whom you would suspect has been doing some discreet polling. A no name Labor candidate for Herbert will only confirm Labor considers a Herbert win is unlikely. PEDRO, CRANBROOK
