MOVE A REAL WORK OF ART

A cosmetic tattooist who not only makes you look good but helps people recover from the trauma of breast cancer has relocated to a new premises to expand her business.

Crystal Lina operates Cosmedink and Beauty and has leased a tenancy through Colliers in a building at the corner of Mcilwraith and Dean St, South Townsville.

The business began as a paramedica­l and cosmetic tattoo clinic, offering services such as areola tattooing for breast cancer sufferers who have undergone mastectomi­es, as well as the cosmetic tattooing which has become popular to define and improve features, especially with ageing.

It has grown to become a holistic beauty salon, providing services such as facials, advanced dermal therapies and eye lash extensions, and employing beauty therapist and skin specialist Dina Magyar and lash technician Naaua Kamoriki.

Ms Lina is a fine artist who has won acclaim for her portraitur­e work.

She was invited to work on the Las Vegas Portraits Project in 2018 to help that community come to terms with the devastatin­g mass shooting in which 60 people were killed and 413 were wounded.

She drew a portrait of one of the victims, defence force veteran Christophe­r Roybal (pictured right).

Ms Lina also founded a portrait project for the SWAN (Syndromes Without A Name) charity which supports families caring for a child with an undiagnose­d or rare genetic condition.
