Parks B grade side still searching for first win of the season

- PATRICK WOODS

SUBURBAN Parks’ B Grade side is still searching for their first win of the season, and they’ll have the perfect opportunity to do just that this Sunday against Northern Beaches at North Shore Oval.

The bottom of the table side have been bowled out before reaching the 40-over mark in all four of their matches this year, so a complete innings must be a focus this week.

Their opposition, the Barra Bs, picked up a solitary win back in Round 2 against Wanderers, and last week pushed Norths right to the end in a final-over thriller.

Meanwhile, Wests and Saints will each be eager to lock down second place on the table while Wanderers have the bye. The two sides are part of a four-team logjam that has second and fifth only separated by five competition points, so a win will move them second outright behind Norths. In the other game, Norths will look to consolidate their standing when they face Brothers.

UNDER-15S

Coming off a monumental century last week where he scored 117 runs off 64 balls, Wests Absolutely Dental under-15s player Brandon Hamilton-kaurila will be looking to repeat that effort on Saturday against Brothers.

Hamilton-kaurila’s ton helped his side to an emphatic victory over Home Hill, and they now sit at the top of the table after two rounds.

He’ll have to watch out for Brothers’ vice-captain allrounder Zachary Hayes, who took 3/10 with the ball in hand over three overs last week.

In the other under-15 games, Home Hill continue their search for a win against Suburban Parks, while Norths take on Wests Opteon Solutions.
