STATEOF-THEART HQ IN CBD

- TONY RAGGATT

A COMMERCIAL building on the fringe of the city has been transformed into stateof-the-art real estate premises for locally owned Explore Property Townsville.

The business, operated by brothers Santo and Giovanni Spinella, has taken a long-term lease over the ground floor of 514 Sturt St and invested significantly into its upgrade.

Local architects Maccallum Partners were hired to design the offices, local builder CES Civil and Construction undertook the work and Empire Furniture provided furnishings.

The brothers said the result was just what they wanted, providing the space they needed for 48 staff, some extra space for expansion and good facilities for clients.

“The office for us feels like home. We want to make sure it was warm and comfortable and that we have plenty of room for growth. It’s the most state-of-the-art real estate premises in Townsville,” Giovanni said.

Santo said the new base for their business was a 10-year plan for them, investing heavily into the building’s upgrade to set them up for the future.

“We need more space and had well and truly outgrown our premises,” Santo said.

The office features an open plan office layout, a dedicated auction room and breakout spaces in the reception area where agents can meet with clients.

They have relocated from offices in South Townsville, more than doubling their office space to about 700sq m.

The building also has plenty of on-site parking for customers.

The business also operates separate offices at North Shore and on Magnetic Island.

Colliers Townsville execu

tive Shaun Mclaren said it was great to have a local business leasing a large amount of office space on the fringe of the city and invest into its upgrade.

Mr Mclaren said the upgrade to the property was “awesome”.

“Explore Property has just finished a great fit-out of this tenancy, transforming it into a professional and modern office that suits their business needs. It’s now a great home for all their staff in a great location on the fringe of the CBD with plenty of exposure,” Mr McLaren said.

“I think they will do very well here.”
