New move a show of faith in region
RAINE & Horne Innisfail has opened a new office as part of plans for a regional expansion.
Principal Chloe Collins said the new move to new premises at 49 Fitzgerald Esplanade, Innisfail, included a spacious fit-out for the team, which includes sales director, and auctioneer Michael Skuse.
“The new office is a great opportunity to show Innisfail that we are here to stay and committed to the region,” Ms Collins said.
“Real estate on the Cassowary Coast shows growth with many people moving into the area.
“Innisfail has many projects happening, with new businesses and existing businesses growing and expanding in the region, allowing for job growth opportunity, which is, in turn, boosting our real estate sector.”
Cassowary Coast Mayor Mark Nolan said it was exciting to welcome a new business into a unique premise with a strong history and positioned in a fantastic riverfront location.
“This building was originally constructed in the 1940s and was used as the waterfront workers’ hall and, more recently, a kindergarten but had sat vacant for several years before this redevelopment,” Cr Nolan said.
“Back in history, unions used to meet here to plan industrial action.
“Council officers worked with Raine & Horne Innisfail to ensure that redevelopment of the former union building will complement the community and council’s vision for the Riverfront precinct as outlined in the Innisfail Strategic Master Plan.”
Raine & Horne Executive Chairman Angus Raine said this move would be a boon for the region. “Chloe and Michael have expanded their presence at the perfect time as the region moves forward and is set to thrive following the pandemic,” Mr Raine said.
“We are thrilled to support Chloe and Michael as our network in Far North Queensland is extremely strong and interconnected.
“Having members of the team from our Port Douglas office drive 2.5 hours for the opening, as well as members from the Atherton office that is 90 minutes away, says a lot about the collaborative culture in our network.”
