Creative director, 42

- ANNABEL FALCO

Talk about a “cool girl” wardrobe ... filled with Saint Laurent, Wardrobe NYC and Chanel, Mossman designer Deanna De Petro is a girl after my own heart where leather, blazers and minimalist tendencies create the chicest of daily fits. Preferencing neutral tones, tailoring and ’90s styling techniques, Deanna’s everyday style is elevated and polished – she’s always one step ahead of the casual dress code.

Minimalistic and effortless with a modern edge. I love more masculine shapes mixed with tailored pieces.

Who are your style icons?

Christine Centenera, Hailey Bieber and Kate Moss.

What’s the oldest thing in your wardrobe?

A dress mum made for me when I was 16.

What are your favourite brands?

Prada, Saint Laurent, Wardrobe NYC, Monot. Agolde and EB denim for denim and Chanel and Bottega Veneta for leather goods.

Have you ever made a style faux pas?

My high school years definitely. Colour blocking at its finest.

Way too much to tell.

My first Chanel bag that I bought in Paris.

Winter fashion. Even though I hate winter and am a summer girl through and through; nothing beats winter fashion. My love for blazers, leather and boots is endless and you always look so chic dressing in the winter.

Casual or cocktail?

Cocktail, nothing beats getting dressed up and feeling beautiful.

Denim or dresses? Dresses.

Is there anything in your wardrobe you have regretted throwing out?

I have too many clothes to have any regrets about throwing anything out.

How many pairs of shoes do you own? Too many to count, I’m a shoeaholic.

Favourite fashion era?

The ’90s era is my absolute favourite.

Best designer fashion purchase this year?

I have two favourites. My Chanel 22 bag and my Isabel Marant blazer.

Best bargain fashion purchase this year?

Paris shopping is an all-round bargain compared to Australia.
