20 years ago 8 oil refineries in Australia supplied our fuel requirements. We now have only 2 and import our fuel. Yeah Steve let’s get rid of fuel and charge up the batteries. We have inherited what we’ve created, high costs and limited supply. JAN WULGURU
Barnaby Joyce argues that migrants should not get a pay rise from $53000 to $70000 because it is better than what they were being paid wherever they came from. These ‘skilled workers’ are making beds in motels, picking fruit and working in abattoirs because Ausies don’t want to do that type of work. You have to be kidding me we have an army of people who are unemployed living off the backs of working people and too lazy to work in jobs they don’t like even for $50000. It’s OK dearie you stay at home and watch Netflix while your government you rely on imports workers to do jobs you can do. I know who I would rather work for me. Maybe we could do a deal with the government of these migrants, they take one dole bludger for every worker we take. DANNY ML
I believe firmly that Indigenous Australians are marginalised and get less than they deserve but I cannot see how the Voice will in any way improve living conditions for the people I meet in remote communities. Until it shows me how it will help people in community I have to vote NO. DAVED4814

The Australian Government’s, both Labor and Liberal couldn’t run a chook raffle in a pub. If anyone ran their household the way the bozos run our country they would be on the streets and starving in no time. The national debt has been increasing constantly through both governments and is predicted to be $1.3tn by 2028. It is currently around $990bn and we are paying around $70bn per year in interest. If the clowns backed off on the spend fest and reduced or better still eliminated the debt couldn’t they have some fun with the free $70bn dollars per year that they were happy to spend on the interest.
