It would appear that when a project is mooted for a Region the powers that be go into “wait” mode. Assessments, feasibility studies, committee meetings etc are used to delay a commitment to go ahead. WHY? It’s my belief that they don’t want progress here in the North. M J REYNOLDS MT LOUISA

Hey Big Willy, Im hearing you Buddy. I bought casserole beef from Woolies the other day, and when I prepared it and other ingredients in hot pan, then to be transferred into slow cooker, I could not believe how much water bled out of the beef. After 4 hours in slow cooker, the beef pieces were around one third of the original size

that I started with. Although the Beef Stroganoff was ok, it was disappointing about the water loaded beef’s diminished size. It can’t be carbon neutral, considering the jiggery pokerey that goes on before being purchased. DAVO 4820.

How to waste money, 101, state & federal labour governments, getting together to undertake ANOTHER survey of the Burdekin dam water resources. Has the last survey finished yet? When this is done, I hope the findings are safely filed, & not lost, like the previous dozen or so surveys. Implementation of some of the findings would be a novel idea & something new....... Wouldn’t have been more cost effective to raise the Burdekin Falls dam rather than waste taxpayer money on all these “feasibility studies”, including the latest multi million $ tax payer funded assessment of Qld water resources? OLD FART, MOUNT LOW

If having a Wilson Street, West End in both Townsville and Brisbane is causing confusion and as they are around the same length, given the Townsville one is named after a historic person, why can’t it be Brisbane that renames its Wilson Street? AZZA 4812
