North Queensland fans of Japanese cuisine are in for a treat after plans were revealed for an innovative diner to open at Fairfield Central Shopping Centre in June.

Japanese, Motto Motto is a group of made-to-order premium-casual restaurants brought to life by William Liu, the owner of Brisbanebased Sono – Australia’s most awarded Japanese restaurant.
Featuring a mix of traditional and modern Japanese or Japaneseinspired dishes, Motto Motto is unique in blending innovation and tradition together to bring fine dining ingredients and quality to the world of fast, casual dining.
Having won food lovers’ hearts across Brisbane, Sydney and the Gold Coast, the emboldened franchise has selected Townsville as its first ever regional outpost.
Motto Motto Group chief operating officer Matt Fickling said they were super excited to introduce their unique dining experience to Townsville’s Fairfield Central.
“We love Townsville, and our newest outpost will reflect our commitment to taste, innovation, our passion for Japanese inspiration and always giving our guests ‘more’,” Mr Fickling said.
He looked forward to showcasing an extensive menu of Japanese fare including flavour-packed ramen, comforting rice bowls, fried chicken, and iconic Japanese curry.
Discerning diners will appreciate the choice of premium ingredients like karaage chicken, tempura fish, Wagyu beef, prawn katsu, sea scallops, sashimi grade salmon and pork belly.
Fairfield Central centre manager Cathy Dalton was thrilled to welcome Motto Motto to the centre, saying its presence elevated their dining options while offering the community an exceptional new destination.
Motto Motto will join Grill’d, Zambrero, Domino’s and other national brands at Fairfield Central.
