Rome’s new ter­mi­nal

Get­ting in and out of Roma Cruise Ter­mi­nal is about to get eas­ier with a shiny new, €20 mil­lion pas­sen­ger ter­mi­nal on its way. The 10,000m² ter­mi­nal will have ca­pac­ity for 4,500 pas­sen­gers and stor­age of up to 9,000 pieces of lug­gage. It will be equipped with two re­tractable pas­sen­ger fin­gers for dis­em­barka­tion and em­barka­tion, along with peo­ple and lug­gage scan­ners. The build­ing is ex­pected to be com­pleted in 2018. Pro­ject 12 B North is one of two Roma Cruise Ter­mi­nal has in the works, with an­other, smaller ter­mi­nal planned for Ter­mi­nal 12. Rome Cruise Ter­mi­nal is the main ter­mi­nal for cruise lines at Civ­i­tavec­chia Port of Rome and is the de­par­ture point for many Mediter­ranean cruises.
