Dig your own private hot spring

Travel Bulletin - - NEW ZEALAND -

Locat ed in Mercury Bay on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, Hot Water Beach is a Kiwi treasure just waiting to be uncovered. What makes this slice of paradise so unique is a hidden underground volcanic reservoir containing super-heated water, allowing visitors to very literally dig their very own hot spring. Just pack a towel and your beach gear and make your way to the beach one hour either side of low tide to gain access to your own private thermal spa.
