Livn product GDS roll out
AUSTRALIAN tour and activity aggregator Livn has activated a new integration with Amadeus, enabling travel agents to book its products in real-time via the GDS.
The “ground-breaking” link between Livn and the Amadeus Selling Platform Connect provides Amadeus-connected consultants with the seamless ability to book 19,000 global tours and activities from suppliers including Intrepid Group, G Adventures, Disney, Gray Line, Pro-Dive & Tourism Holding.
Initially deployed in Australia and NZ, the tie-up is seen as “a lucrative new income stream in a challenging marketplace”.
Livn co-founder Steve Martinez said the Amadeus partnership “dramatically expands our travel agency distribution footprint and is great for our partners”.
“We have managed to automate the entire tours and activities booking process with the existing Amadeus workflow with instant confirmations and ticketing being returned in seconds,” he said.
Amadeus IT Pacific md Tony Carter said the Livn integration enabled agents to earn additional commission via GDS by securing in-destination experiences, with instant confirmation and pricing.
“Until now the fragmented nature of the tour and activity business has always made it difficult for agents to book these products. But that’s changed with the Livn integration,” Carter said.
The connection was trialled with key agents ( travelbulletin Aug).
Among Livn’s other co-founders are Tui Eruera, the founder and managing director of Si Holidays.
