OF ALL the ugly mugs in Queensland, the team at Novotel Brisbane reckon they’ve found the best - and they’re not from among the State of Origin Rugby League side.

The hotel’s Two Donkeys cafe has introduced an alternative to the disposable coffee cups ordinarily offered with a flat white, instead providing guests with a choice of re-useable “ugly mugs”.

Staff have sourced “the very best novelty and nanna mugs” from among Brisbane’s local charity shops and give customers a 50c discount when they take the more environmentally friendly choice.
