Travel Without Limits

FROM AUSTRALIA TO THE BIG APPLE - VIA AUCKLAND

-

Qantas has launched a new flight, from Australia to New York City, with a stop in Auckland, New Zealand. This is a game-changer for long-haul flights between Australia and the United States, and it’s already proving a very popular choice for travellers.

The new route allows travellers to avoid navigating the notoriously hectic Los Angeles airport (LAX), and offers them seamless connections across continents.

The flights are operated on Boeing 787 Dreamliners, new and ultra-modern aircraft for the airline, with more cabin room and fewer seats.

Qantas is also investing millions of dollars in updating its airport lounges, including a complete redesign and expansion at the Auckland International Airport. The upgrade will create a “pre-flight oasis” for travellers on the Australia-New York route, and any other travellers coming through New Zealand.

Flights have been running three times per week since the inaugural journey in June, and an additional fourth flight per week will be added in October.

Recognising the “very strong” demand for these routes, Qantas has plans to introduce direct Melbourne and Sydney to New York routes when their new fleet of Airbus A350-1000 planes arrive in 2025. Stay tuned…!
