DUBAI: THE BEST OF THE BEST

The results are in! Tripadvisor's annual Traveller's Choice Best of the Best Destinations Awards have been announced, and Dubai has been declared the No. 1 global destination.

This is the third successive year that Dubai has won the coveted choice award, and they're celebrating the milestone achievement.

“Travellers from around the world seeking a safe, secure and easily accessible destination, have embraced Dubai's diverse offerings for all segments, from families and thrill seekers to business visitors and cultural explorers, recognising the unique experiences that can only be found in the city,” says Issam Kazim (CEO of Visit Dubai).

Tripadvisor's Traveller's Choice Best of the Best Destinations are chosen by the quality and quantity of Tripadvisor user reviews and ratings. The platform lists over a hundred accommodation options in Dubai that are wheelchair accessible, from luxurious penthouses to family-friendly apartments.

Dubai has made many improvements to accessibility in recent years, contributing to its strong global ranking and reputation. In December 2023, Dubai International (DXB) became the first international airport to earn the Certified Autism Center (CAC) designation from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). It's a milestone in Dubai's progress towards becoming a Certified Autism Destination (CAB).

Beyond the airport, you'll find ramps and lifts at all Metro stations to get around, accessible bathrooms and barrier-free access and paths at Kite Beach, and more. Dubai has made welcoming travellers with disabilities a priority, and they're upgrading their infrastructure to make it happen.
