1968 CADILLAC ELDORADO

WHEN I WAS 22 years old I saw Elvis had bought himself a new ’68 Cadillac and I decided right then I would have one. It took a few years – I bought it two weeks ago!

It was imported from California and the guy from Seven 82 Motors in Queensland did it up – took it back to bare metal, gave it a respray, redid the suspension and a lot to the motor. It’s a 472 cubic inch (7.7lt) and it’s stock standard. It goes pretty well.

I’ve been looking for four or five years. It wasn’t a big priority at first, but recently it became one, so I found this. There aren’t a lot of them around. I only know of three of that model in the country.

It’s a big cruisy thing to drive – good fun.
